Went last weekend and did the negotiations, all I have to do is show up and sign the papers.  I'll be getting a 2013 Tuxedo Black/Charcoal w/Mayan inserts with Performance package and 402A.  Dealership is selling it to me for $1000 less than X-plan plus all incentives, $37K plus tax title, etc.

Here are a few pics:

I do have a couple questions.  I'm thinking about getting winter rubber, has anyone put snow tires on the SHO wheels?  Also, will 18 or 19" wheels fit over the PP brakes?  What are the dimensions of the PP brakes?  Are they larger rotors, better pistons, or ???  I was thinking about looking for takeoff regular Taurus wheels for winter driving.

Thanks for looking!  Hoping to be a regular member shortly!

I would guess that TireRack website would show which wheels fit the PP. They also have lots of inexpensive wheels, some closeouts etc. that make winter tire packages reasonable.  I deal with Mason Rush at TireRack... he won't steer you wrong if you go that way. Discount Tire Direct also has lots of great buys and choices.

Another consideration is to unload the stock tires immediately and get some really good A/S tires which will give you almost everything you want in handling, and still work great in winter.

Today I saw a new Taurus (13'or 14') with those 20" polished wheels Ford offers... not a SHO... interesting... Not sure they're worth the money though.
2010 Red Candy/White EB Flex.. World's first 12 second Brick.. 12.904 @ 106.85 MPH - October 2011
2009 Spt. Red G8 GT - modded. best time 12.074 & 114.02 MPH
2008 White G8 GT - mods... 8.32 1/8 mi.

Welcome aboard :hi:

Plenty of discussions on the wheels & tire threads....

But I would imagine that more than one member will chime in here to help offer their suggestions.

Overall, the 2013 brake system was completely redesigned versus the 2010-2012 model years where so many complaints were lodged.

IIRC the rotors were enlarged, but what to what size, I don't recall.

Thanks for all the replies, guys.  I should give a little bit of background about myself.  I currently own a 2007 Mustang GT with a ton of mods, including 150 shot of nitrous, 4.10's, driveshaft, intake, springs/shocks/roll bars, etc.  Also, my wife's daily driver is a 2011 Flex SEL with EcoBoost.  All we have done to her car is an Airaid intake.  92000 miles in 3 years and all we've done is tires, brakes (recall) and oil changes.  She loves it!

We have 4 kids and obviously we do a lot of driving and recently I have determined that my Mustang just isn't cutting it anymore whenever I have to take any of the kids to various activities, or if I buy something larger than a breadbox.  The final straw was when my son and I were shopping for a gift for my wife, and we spotted a rack that you put throws and blankets over, and I bought it not even thinking about fitment being an issue.  Well, we had to disassemble this thing in the parking lot of Michael's to fit it in the trunk, even with the seats folded down.  That was it for me.

I've always wanted a SHO since the 92-93 models and even saw the rare "SHOStar" minivan in 1995 at the Chicago Auto show.  The V8 models were not as appealing to me, but when I read the 2010's were getting the EB motor I knew eventually I had to have one.  I'm looking forward to having room, AWD, luxury, and quiet!  The 13's are almost vault quiet, a bit TOO much for me so I see a set of performance mufflers in my future, along with springs and a tune.

I will keep everyone updated as soon as I bring her home!

I felt the same way, when the '10's came out, I was a broke college student, it was definitely a dream car at that point, I am so happy to own one now. I hope you enjoy your '13... A lot. Which shouldn't be a problem, haha. They are rather quiet, I'm working on rectifying that, they defenitely need to roar a little more when you step on it! I'd like to hear that insane amount of horsepower at work!

Picked her up last night!!!  Anderson Ford in Rockford, IL was awesome!  I was in and out of there in less than an hour, after dealing with their finance guy on the phone in regards to loan rates, warranty. etc.  Paul, my salesman, was very thorough and answered all my questions, and I had many!  Pricing was more than fair with me buying the car for $36K plus tax, title, etc.  I even came up with some killer vanity plates!!!  Can't wait for those to come in!  Anyway, here are a couple pics with me and my boys:

I love how Tuxedo black looks green in direct light!  INCREDIBLE!
