Which to do First: Meth or Downpipes?

I am getting my MKS/SHO (still undecided) this weekend and already have these parts ready to go on as soon as I get home:
-CAI
-Tuner from Livernois
-170 T-stat
-2 1/4" pipe for 3rd cat/muffler delete
I have a little bit of extra mod money kicking around and I am torn between running a meth setup or doing catless downpipes. Please weigh in on which one would yield more horsepower for track use.
Eventually downpipes and meth will end up on the vehicle when next spring rolls around.

Meth 60 whp, downpipes 15 whp... Same price (but easier to install downpipes than meth), you chose! lol
The only thing is that with meth, you need to be committed to make sure you always have sufficient meth in the tank, but it is all worth it. At the track, meth is good for -0.5 second.
No brainer my friend...
Cheers!

I'm in the same boat trying to make a decision on mods.

Livernois upgraded turbos + down pipes

Or

Meth + downpipes

If I was making your decisions I would choose meth.

Bnoon has a set of downpipes for sale, although meth makes more power you should jump on the deal. :)
PM him on this board and see if he still has them and how much he wants for them (I had thought $400 but it was a bid price on Ebay)

Meth in the long run is a better option. As it will clean your valves, and that is a major problem on DI engines as they get pretty bad

I might get shot for this but, I am no fan of Methanol or Nitrous for that matter.  Never was.  But, I would love to get some catted down pipes someday!

I was never a huge fan of nitrous either then I dropped from 7.95 to 7.12 in the 1/8 mile in my Jeep and my outlook changed.

Methanol even when ran in a small shot, not necessarily for performance will do a lot for reliability. Lower temps/ cleaner valves. The guys from the mazdaspeed, started seeing some weird things, with the dirty valves

Yup, you likely will.

Tons of documented benefits of running it, both for performance reasons, as well as for long term overall reliability benefits.

Try it out for yourself Dave, and you're guaranteed to get into those 12's, instead of crossing your fingers and hoping Mother Nature helps you with cooler temps and what not.

If not, well then, bring out the firing squad.

I knew somebody would shoot me!  What I really want to do is get a 12 with just a tune.  I'm so dang close.  I thought I had it when I got the 13.150.  Felt like a good run.  I agree that Methanol has it's pros.  It's just not for me at this time.
