Livernois ported and polished a set of EB SHO heads.  Gain was like 30% better intake flow and 60+% exhaust flow.  However, they must not have been workable in the real world as we never heard a peep  about how they drove.

Probably not much of a market for them for Livernois to continue development?  Inside info from Ford that made it not worth continuing perhaps?

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Well I'll have an extra set of heads soon so I'll try it. I'll have extra cams too, we'll see if I can't get someone to make me a set of custom ones. I'm also already working on replacing the factory intercooler with a water to air in the next few weeks.
700HP by 2014? We'll see!!

Curious as to how long the transmission and awd components will live at 600 hp...

The issue as I see it is with the exhaust gains using the stock exhaust manifolds which have the diameter of a QUARTER...  There must be some reason for this.  Now since you (4DR) are running bigger turbos, perhaps increasing the breathing on exhaust may help you, vs stock... I do think that porting the intake portion will be beneficial to all, but likely even better for you.. Porting does no good if your entire engine doesn't need the extra flow...

There is! Reducing the volume of the exhaust manifold decreases turbo lag.

You can run larger tubes in a new manifold, however you will (probably) pay for it with increased turbo lag. Everything is a compromise. Cast manifolds are good for turbo applications, however not sure there is the market to cast a quality replacement for the transverse EB.

Frequent fluid changes for the PTU and RDU may assist with the life of the drivetrain.

Can one use synthetic fluids in PTU and RDU? ... or are they already synthetic?  Mine have 63,500 mi, and I need to change out.

Our turbos aren't that big to worry about much lag, let alone with two of them.    I'd honestly be surprised if increasing the diameter of the manifold runners would cause noticable lag.

I'm very excited to see some SHOs running these new turbos.  Is there any time table for when we might see this?
