SRT82ECOBOOST

Just joined the forum yesterday and I am looking to get a lot of performance questions answered as this seems like the best resource for Ecoboost engines on the web. I am making the leap from my modded Jeep SRT-8 and looking to slide into a SHO or more than likely an MKS just to be a little different. I will be a frequent poster and hopefully a valuable asset to the forum as I learn more about these platforms and let my modding OCD take over. Look forward to speaking with you all on the forum.

Awesome, welcome to the board from a fellow SRT8 (even an SRT4) owner. :)

Welcome to the forum!  I like the Jeep SRT as well, but think you are going to enjoy driving the SHO/MKS more!

Welcome! I was looking into the Jeep SRT8 last summer, but all the dealers had them priced at $65k and they were leftovers. The dealers were consistent that no military discount, no discount at all, full sticker price. But I would get a day at the track... Haha! I missed having my Trailblazer SS so It lured me into the Jeep. I had previous owned 2 Grand Cherokees. But Jeep sold out to the man, and took bailout, so the cavalier attitude sent me away.

Then I went to the Ford dealer (previous customer) and the red carpet was rolled out, unlike the Jeep(no test drives) they gave me the SHO for the afternoon to see if I liked it! I did I drove off the lot 3 days later with a brand new SHO grinning not feeling raped.

It's a great car, and I think I'll get another when the lease is up. These cars with a tune are so much fun. Best of luck!

Welcome aboard! :hi:

Plenty of us former MOPAR nuts hanging around the EB platform now.

Here's my former project below. She died 06/06/09 in a double rollover. R.I.P.

Welcome.  I just came from an SRT product myself.  Here is my little 360/370 whp bugger.

It was tough to make the decision to get out of the Jeep. A real head turner, sounded awesome with long tube headers and exhaust cutouts, and could rip a 7.12 second 1/8 mile. I just hit the point of really having to put some big money, transmission and F/I, to really take it to the next level. I had been carefully following the SHO/MKS since their release and now seems like a perfect time to jump in the waters. I have the highest hopes that these things can get into the 11 second range reliably without having to upgrade turbos.

11's haven't happened yet.......

Close though. I think a 12.09 was the best achieved thus far if memory serves me correctly.

But new times will obviously be achieved, as the platform as a whole, finally (after 3+ long years) finally seems to be taking off.

So perhaps soon enough
