EcoPowerParts

LMS = their tuner, everyone else = X4 just FYI.
LMS won't use X4 for tuning.

I was looking for you to update your other thread.  Looks like you're joining the recent bad torque converter club too.  I did the full rebuild too about a month ago and it's running as smooth as ever.  Hope you get the same results.

Sorry for late response and apologies about other thread. I should have mentioned it moved it over here. So yea, after the last two shops claimed bad t vert, i brought it to a highly respected trans shop out here in SD who confirmed it was a bad torque and also something with 3rd gear. He has the tranny torn down and I am going there tomorrow to look at what he found internally (ill try and get pics). Hes charging me around $2000 which i think is a pretty decent deal. I explained to him i wanted him to look into finding me upgraded parts for trans but after doing research on here, most ppl are saying not to get those (like high stall convertor, shift kit, etc.) without an extensive tune so i think im just gonna stick with oem parts.

3rd gear's been problematic on SHO transmissions for many years now :)  Glad you are making progress, what kind of warranty coverage are you looking at post-rebuild on the trans?
2007 Ford Edge SEL, Powerstop F/R Brake Kit, TXT LED 6000K Lo & Hi Beams, W16W LED Reverse Bulbs, 3BSpec 2.5w Map Lights, 5W Cree rear dome lights, 5W Cree cargo light, DTBL LED Taillights

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Me too, its been a nightmare. And it will have standard 3 year 100k mile warranty on parts and i believe 6 month warranty on their labor. Im not too sure though. Have to doublecheck on that. Just hope once its done that this will be the end for awhile. Bought car, engine blows up on second day, luckily got it replaced through warranty as well as both turbos and now the tranny. This car will be damn close to brand new again.

So, heres the deal. I talked to the thr shop owner and gis conclusion was this, there are very few things available for our trans and the price it will be to upgrade wont be worth it. He said the internals in these trans are already pretty tough, other than a few updated sensors and what not hes gonna replace he said it wouldn't be worth the price. So im just going with a full rebuild of oem updated parts. Will be done by Thursday. 😀😀

No, i bought it used at 100k miles. The engine threw a rod 2 days after i bought it. Its had a few problems. Now with new engine and rebuilt trans im hoping for a fresh start.
