Sound of water running behind dash and air leak in engine bay

When i started my car today i heard what sounded like water rushing behind the dash. I turned the car off and ran back inside to grab something and when i came back out and started the car i heard it again, also hear it just when i start accelerating.

When i got home and was looking under the hood i also heard what sounded like an air leak and after feeling around i think i determined it to come from the line where the arrows are in the picture, more specifically where i circled. Now i couldn't get the air to stop so it may not be right there but from the sound and squeezing that hose in certain places the sound changes slightly.

I did regap the rear plugs about a week ago and i was pushing that line out of the way sometimes to get them out. Im curious what that line is for and if pushing it out of the way could have caused this issue.

The hissing u hear is most likely the check valves that are right below near the brake reservoir....and u did a thermostat i see...probably air and gurgling from heater core?

^x2.  Check the degas bottle for low coolant, top it off (when engine is cold & turned off :) ).  That should take care of the sloshing/gurgling sound at least.  Check any fittings in the area of the "hissing air sound" to see if they might be loose or actually disconnected.  Is the brake pedal stiff or normal after sitting for a few hours with the engine turned off?  The check valve is supposed to help retain vacuum assist in the booster while the engine is off.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

In the morning when the car is cold fill up the coolant reservoir above the cold level fill line,past the top line and see if that sound goes away.  Z

I got some coolant, ill wait till it cools off to top it off. Brakes feel fine after it sits. The hissing is definitly coming from along that line somewhere, if i squeeze the rubber line thats on the right side that goes down and back behind the brake fluid res then the hissing stops. Just not sure if it suppose to make that noise.

Once you 'over fill' the reservoir slightly, the gurgling and water sound through the heater core will stop. Your heater will work better this winter too.
