If your battery is low the SCT will not load tunes.

Didn't know that! Well I'm going to go grab a new battery in a couple of hours. I'll post back

This thing is driving me nuts. The terminal will NOT separate from the damn post!

Here's a pic of the mess:

It spins freely around the post but it seems like the very top of the post has mushroomed or something and I can't pop it out. Any suggestions?

Take the nut off and use a screw driver as a wedge to spread the post clamp open.

Finally got it. Ugh what a pain in the butt! Nut was loosened all the way but that post was corroded to hell. Definitely could be the problem. Gonna head off and get a new battery now.

Sounds good!  Hope it does the trick!

Make sure you update your tuner also. Then try tuning your car.

Put in the new battery and fired right up!!!! :) Thanks for all the help.

On another not regarding the tuner...if I update it won't I lose my stock tune? I think it wipes it when it updates correct?

Don't know.  Try returning to stock first.  Update tuner, then Load Stage 4.  Nobody uses 2 or 3 anymore.

SoCalSHO

I think you should call SCT to ask them to make sure you won't lose your tune. They have been really helpful in the past.

Did you save the stock file to your computer when you first got the tuner? Here is the link on how to do it.. http://www.sctflash.com/support/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=39&nav=0

Maybe it will help in the future.

When you update your SCT Tuner, you should not lose your stock tune.  Anyway mine doesn't.  Follow the instructions for updating Firmware etc. on SCT website where you will get the updates.

Sounds good I'll update it then try again.

So no one uses stage 2 anymore? Don't I have to run 93 octane to run stage 4? The highest we have is 92 octane and luckily that's just a couple of blocks from me. Can I run stage 4 with 92?

Get a hold of Livernois and ask them for a Stage 4 91 Octane tune.  That ought to do ya!

Before updating the tuner, put the car back to stock.  If you don't the tuner will lock.  I had to send mine back to SCT because of this.
