I found that going thru the water bath and then doing a burnout like Mike did, got me the best times and the least amount of PCM resistance.

I have never been able to do a burnout with my car... never! It just won't spin at all. Unless I WOT in a curve with wet tires that are cold... But unlikely to happen at the track and not too good for the car neither. Until now, I manage not to spin or barely with more than 500hp. My 60 ft. are always in the 1.7's (1.73 to 1.79) for the 2013 PP. It used to be between 1.80-1.89 with the 2010 non-PP, but even then, I rarely faced traction issues... Maybe on cold nights, when there is condensation on the track and it is around 40F, some front wheel hopping...

Steve, I am coming to the conclusion it's those "crappy" tires you are running that get you those fantastic  60's!!! LOL  My son has a set of Hankook's on my old GTO 6 spd, and he says he has a very hard time getting scratch between gears.  My old Bridgestone 750's are on his other GTO and he claims it can go up in smoke at will...  My "wonderful" Michelin Pilot SS's were hopping when it was 75 deg....

The only time I had my Nitto DR's on the front, I had 3 - 12 sec runs and one 13.1+.  Did go thru the water bath and spun them as best I could.

I do agree that 4 wheel drive cars normally shouldn't go thru any water, but since we are running Front Wheel Drive with some RWD assist... it might work out OK for the EB cars.

However... you are doing fantastic with your methods... DON'T CHANGE A THING WITH YOUR LAUNCH TECHNIQUE!!!!!

Hadn't been to the strip with the Flex in about 25K miles.  First time with Pilots...
2010 Red Candy/White EB Flex.. World's first 12 second Brick.. 12.904 @ 106.85 MPH - October 2011
2009 Spt. Red G8 GT - modded. best time 12.074 & 114.02 MPH
2008 White G8 GT - mods... 8.32 1/8 mi.

New tires no more wheel hop btw, these 17's are AWESOME!!!!
I couldn't ask for better wheels/tires for the track now. Just need to get the tune dialed in and spray out of the hole for what I need. :)
