Need some advice on SCT for SHO
December 28, 2015, 01:28:16 AM
I'm very new to this, my friend sold his 05 F-350 he had an SCTX4 that he's selling to me, it's unmarried.
I have a 2010 Taurus SHO stock besides KN intake.
All/any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance Rod.

Excellent advice!
Torrie tuned both of my SHO's.
The $199 fee includes data log revisions which I highly suggest you take advantage of.
Results in sig.

My advice?
Lower your expectations, especially on top end power.
Buy a 3bar sensor and get plugs gapped at .030-- one step colder plugs if you are going to push these things.
@FoMo, those 0-60 from some phone app or something?

So that is a very interesting calculator. Unfortunately, I would put it up there with the cell phone apps (sorta not really accurate). For example, I used my recent 1/8 mile runs logged from my VBOX (
http://www.vboxmotorsport.com/index.php/us/
) Sport and put the 60 ft / 330 ft / 1/8 mile results in and I received a 0-60 in 4.51 with 0-60 in 235 ft with 1/8 mile speed of 80 mph.
Actual results were - 4.921 in 247 ft and 1/8 mile speed of 82 mph.
So it is close, but not 100% accurate, measurements seem to faster with 0-60 and slower with the 1/8 mile speed.
2015 Edge Sport
Unleashed Tune | K&N Filter | Trans Mount | CXRacing Intercooler
1/4 mile: 13.228 @ 103.27 - 93 Octane
1/4 mile: 13.162 @ 104.67 - 100 Octane
1/4 mile: 12.999 @ 106.51 - E30
