In the past week or so my '11 been acting a little weird. ABS light came on. Brake light on. TCS light on. If I shut car off and restart all would clear except TCS light. Car possibly shuddering but I haven't driven it for a while. Just occasional weekends. I planned to check codes to see. So I go to reload tune on car this morning, partially in preparation for the ACES IV I plan to purchase this week. Holy cow, shows 11 DTC codes.

U0073, U0100, U0121, U0131, U0154, U0155, U0253, U3002, P1000.

Some of these were duplicates of course. Looking up the info I could find, the U-XXXX points to network error. And/or control module or modules malfunction. Car is not communicating with individual systems, dash etc. Could this be ECM failure? Could it be caused by tune? I looked up codes on these sites. The first seems kinda cool but cumbersome because you can't directly input codes.

I doubt the tune has anything to do with it but gotta throw it in there. Needless to say I will return car to stock and take to dealer on Monday morning.

I'd try reflashing the tune with or without returning to stock.  I would also check the wiring harness connection to the ECM for dirt, corrosion and a good tight connection. With so many U codes and the P code indicating incomplete self testing it would point to the ECM or connection to it in my mind. There does seem to be evidence that reflashing a tune can correct a lot of errors.

As regards the code look-up, I actually have the app for the first link on my iPad and iPhone. It's $4 and the entry is a scroll wheel... Easy and instant readout... I agree that the website is clunky.

No rats nesting in your SHO I hope!

TCS error codes usually have to do with a wheel speed sensor.  Maybe they could use some cleaning up, as dirt or rust CAN buildup if car's not regularly driven.  Also try disconnecting the battery for 30 min, and let the system relearn.  See if the codes clear.

Usually the network codes will go away on their own, nothing to be concerned about.

I wouldnt worry about the body codes(loss of communication)to much,had a similiar situation when leaving my mx odb adapter plugged in and had both abs and traction control codes set,also after unplugging my apim module had roughly seven U-codes,loss of communication and cleared them and never came back.  Z

Now that you mention that, I did just buy another OBD adapter. I usually leave it (ELM27) plugged in with no problems. But this one not so much. It requires a new connection EVERY time.

I reflashed and cleared all codes. Reloaded 4+ tune and no problem. But I just returned to stock. Because I remember the screen blacking out on me a few times a while back. And today, while sitting at a light waiting to turn, the turn signal shut off on its own then came back on.

I think there was a software update for these cars a while back. I never took mine for update. And they can work the last 2 recalls Ford has. Power steering, tail light, and I think a couple other TSB's were out. I need to find that list so I can have them check EVERYTHING while its there.

Personally I wouldn't trust a $10.00 Chinese adapter to interface with my ECM.

Too may glitches and I've heard rumblings about cooked computers.

OBDMX is worth every penny...well made, fast, and American made.

It just works, I've used it in multiple cars with Dashcommand, Torque, OBDLink (comes with the adapter), and Forscan....no glitches or hiccups and I have yet to hear anything bad about it except the cost. I feel like safeguarding my ECM is worth the hundred bucks

It is blazing fast with the stock Dashboards in DashCommand.

I dont recall the obi mx coming up in any of my searches when looking for a scanner. Does iPhone AND Android read it? Or is it one or the other depending on wifi or bluetooth scanner?

OBDLink MX Bluetooth - non apple devices (i.e., Android, Windows) - highly recommended
OBDLink MX Wifi - all devices - don't really recommend at this time, talk to them first if connectivity issues are resolved

My current WiFi fav is the VGate iCar2 (they have iCar3 out now), flawless connectivity every time.  Forscan Lite does not complain on my iPad about slow data rates :)

The MX is also reputed to have a little hacking protection built in and that can't be a bad thing in today's world. I also value that it's designed to power itself down when idle so I can (and do) leave mine plugged in 24/7. As mod expenditures go, being able to buy the fastest most feature rich device for $100 is a huge bang for the buck!

Quick update. Not sure if this means anything but since removing the Chinese obd reader, none of the error codes have returned. I did plug in the obdlink to verify. So will be setting it up this week to run fully. Thus far from an initial trial, seems like Torque will NOT read from the obdlink? Im sure I just missed something since all I did was plug it in and turn it on. Didn't go through advance setup, so we will see

Within Torque or the OBDLink software, you can hardcode the IP address for OBDLink MX Wifi device and see if that works.  Normally, the Wifi devices will work with DHCP (auto configuration).

Honestly though, you may have to return the MX Wifi device, and get the vGate/iCar Wifi device (see my previous post in this thread).
