My car history is fun, but mostly because of the details of each car. So I'll add those too.  The list is in chronological order, starting when I was 15 and ending with my current ride, while I am 34.

1992 Buick Century Custom - My grandma's car.  After we decided she couldn't drive anymore, I started using this beast to get to high school.  I also got into Autocross with it.

1986 Ford Mustang - Bought for $500 as a V6 base model.  My dad and I swapped all the running gear out for a 1990 GT that caught fire.  Had ported heads, e303 cam, MSD ignition, Edelbrock performer intake manifold and 650 cfm 4 barrel carb. When I gave the insurance company the VIN they said "this is a V6 correct?"  I replied "Yes sir it is..."  I kept racing autocross in the "E Street Prepared" class.  We never had a ton of money, so one of my dad's friends hooked us up with mismatched, used tires from his junk yard because he wanted to see me race.  He got a hoot out of it because I kicked some rich kid's ass who was driving his dad's LS1 Camaro, with roll cage and slicks.  To be fair the Camaro was lightyears faster, and the kids dad elected to move up several classes, and set times that stomped us both.  But that was the best feeling class win I ever had.

2000 Dodge Neon - After the Mustang lost to storm surge in a hurricane (I'm from the keys originally) we replaced it with a boring ass neon.

1996 Ford Ranger - My uncle needed to get rid of it, so it was originally going to my brother.  But he couldn't drive stick, lol.  So I gave him the Neon and snatched up the 4 cylinder stick shift DANGER RANGER as it came to be called.  I moved to Orlando to go to college with this baby.

1990 Mazda Miata - I wanted to get back into autocross.  I remembered getting my butt kicked by Miata guys all the time, so I bought a cheap old one from craigslist.

Huffy Mountain Bike - I didn't take school serious and paid the price.  Dropped out of college after getting bad grades.  Couldn't find legit stable work.  Sold the Miata to pay rent and rode a bike to work at a giftshop for an airboat tour place.  On the upside I had to wrangle a small alligator so tourists could take pictures with it.  Porkchop was his name and he was only about 2 feet long.

1991 Mazda Miata - Started working a stable job and some poor guy on craigslist built a turbo first gen miata, put on coilovers and everything... then got his girlfriend pregnant and had to sell it.  For absolute bottom dollar on craigslist.  It was fun car, and made all the cool turbo noises.

2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP - Wanted to go fast in a straight line for a change.  For really cheap speed these cars are great.  The supercharged V6 is a super moddable platform.  Mine was a black on black 4 door.  I got some dark bronze wheels, and some HID headlights and LED tail lights from Dash Z racing.  The car looked pretty great, and Dash Z even put it on their website back then.

2002 Mazda Miata - Once you've owned a Miata it's really hard to ever give up the way they feel to drive.  I got the Miata bug again and got a really cool "Hard-S" package Miata.  It was a weird suspension package that had factory Bilstein dampers, strut tower brace, springs, brakes.  Charging up onramps at full throttle was so damn fun, even if you weren't really accelerating very hard.  Sliding the back end out in the rain was awesome.  I had to pick up my then girlfriend (now wife) at the front of a movie theater because it was raining.  I pulled the handbrake and slid the car perfectly up to the curb and popped the door open for her.  Probably my greatest moment for anything car related, and it must have worked because we got married while I owned that thing.

2004 Lexus GS430 - Yup, I bought the wrong car here.  I needed a 4 door since we were having a baby, and I wanted to have something fun as well.  A V8 rear wheel drive sedan sounds great, but 300 horsepower isn't enough.  And there is ZERO aftermarket for that motor.  None.  If I had gotten the GS300 it would have been slower, but it had a 2JZ motor that you can throw a turbo on affordably and make heaps of power.

2014 Lincoln MKS EcoBoost - The beast that brought me here to this forum!  It was just time to put the Lexus out to pasture.  It had too many little issues, and continuing to fix them wasn't worth it.  I wanted something that was fast, but also had modern features.   I got a really solid deal on mine.  It wasn't sold as new until 2015, and the first owner put 60,000 miles on it in 2 years.  She worked for the state of Florida agriculture department and used it to go all over the state.  So it was immaculately kept up, and the miles were almost all highway.  The lady traded it in at the same dealer she bought it new and got a superduty pickup truck.  The dealer had a hard time selling it, and I got lucky and contacted them as they had started prepping it to send to the auction.  People in Tallahassee Florida want pick ups, and this MKS sat on their lot AGAIN for a long time.  They sold it to me for $19,500 not even 2 years after they sold it new to the original owner.  That lady had to be pretty unhappy with whatever trade-in value they gave her.  I worked on the car a little, (see signature for mods) and Brad tuned it.  Now I get groceries in a daily driver that runs 13.0s, with a car seat in the back.  And I freakin love it.

Much smaller list here, I keep them until they are useless

1989 Cadillac Eldorado (4.5L V8, front wheel drive burnouts!)
1997 Lincoln Mark VIII (4.6L DOCH 32V V8, loved that engine and the whole car really, even though it was
                                   crap)
1997 Acura CL (2.2 4, abused and asked for more, great little car)
2000 Subaru Outback (I swear it was faster in the snow than on dry pavement, still in the garage with a trans
                                   leak and 244k on it)
2011 SHO (by far the best car I have had so far).

Here's my illustrious automotive history...

1980 Honda Prelude - beater I used and abused for many years
1988 Mustang GT - eventually became a drag race car. 10.32 was best time many moons ago.  Carbureted with lots of nitrous and caged at end.
1989 Taurus SHO - black on gray.  Tranny blew up at 230,xxx miles and was the end of this awesome car.  14.9 @ 98 best time.
1992 Mustang LX 5.0 - street car. 12.54 was best time.  Beautiful car that I will always miss.
1993 Taurus SHO - black on gray, probably my favorite car I have owned. 14.9 @ 93. Hit guard rail at 230,xxx miles and sold to friend.  Still running last I heard.
1996 Chevy 1500 6.5 turbo diesel - family truck and used to tow the 1988 GT
1995 Contour SE v6 - was an auto. nice otherwise
1999 Dodge Ram 1500 - 5.2 base model with tow pack. was family truck and used to tow the 1988 GT
1999 VW Jetta tdi - shared work car. Great fuel mileage.  Terrible car.
2000 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0 liter Supercab Off Road - leased it and didn't want to turn back in.  Would like another some day.
2002 Nissan Sentra specV - heavily, heavily modified.  EVERYTHING possible was modded.
1990 Nissan 240sx - was a beater, but very fun to drive
1998 Oldsmobile Aurora - nicer to own and drive than you would think
2003 F250 XLT Supercab 4x4 6.0 Powerstroke - 13.9 in quarter and my second favorite vehicle that I've owned
2007 Explorer XLT v8 4x4 - also much nicer to own than you'd think.  very competent and good power with the 3v 4.6
--2008 Honda Fit Sport - manual, mildly modified, was wife's commuter.  Still own and now a toy getting lots of mods soon.  190,xxx miles and going strong
--1990 Mustang LX 5.0 - heavily modified street car.  Original paint, interior, etc, but every mechanical part upgraded. 532whp.  Needs a new home.
2008 F150 SuperCrew 5.4 - should probably still own, but couldn't get passed the poor power and fuel mileage of the 5.4 even after programmed and bolt on's.
2006 Crown Vic - Interceptor, 3.73's, cobra diff, programmed, Mustang GT wheels, etc. Nice car with full civilian pack.
--2013 Lincoln MKS Ecoboost - reason I'm here at EBPF.
--2017 VW Golf Wolfsburg - Wife's new commuter car.  Little 1.8 turbo runs good and we love hatchbacks. Hoping it's better than last VW.

Edited to add my current shopping list possibilities...
Honda Civic Type-R
F150 5.0 SuperCrew
Ram 1500 Hemi
Beater truck

Those are my current thoughts for next on the list, but as you can tell by my history, it could be something else entirely.

Over time I have found I'm generally happiest with Ford or Honda products.  I need to remember that better when I'm car shopping.  LOL

Currently trying to justify the price of a 2018 F150 5.0.  The '18 5.0 is an absolute BEAST of an engine.  Read up on it if you haven't.  12.5:1 compression.  Makes over 80whp more than the '17 on a chassis dyno.  Ford is WAY underrating them from the factory to get people to opt for the EB motors.

Happy to fly under the radar for now.  They continue to discontinue naturally aspirated engines (like the 3.5 in the Edge), so do what you have to do, quietly, LOL.

This is true ^  when I 1st hit the meth,  I could beat out 2015 5.0 GT's at the track by 2 tens or 3 even with them getting a good launch.  However i *tried* to troll a 2018 near the infamous FORD dealership .. The 2018 keeps up with me easily.. we seemed about even.  The TQ profile seems different for the 18' revision of the engine ..  could be tune related ..

Uhhhh....just to clarify here.  You autocrossed a 1992 Buick Century Custom???

lol, yeah man, I did.  I always wanted to race, even when I was barely old enough to be allowed on the go-karts at the mini-golf place where I grew up.  I was so proud of myself because I figured out how to take a line through the whole go-kart course without lifting off the gas.  Which was difficult through one section.  Nobody taught me how.  So when my girlfriend in high school saw an ad in the newspaper about being able to race your own car, I was so excited I thought it was fake, lol.  I thought "There's no way you can race real cars."  So I called and they assured me that autocross was in fact a real thing.  I would have driven ANY car, I just wanted to race, so damn bad.

The first race I went to, I drove grandma's '92 Buick Century Custom.  This was in the keys, so that course was a little different layout than how it's usually done on the main land.  There are no huge, wide-open parking lots, so it was on a back road off of the main highway.  Check out the link for one example.
http://www.ericudell.com/evscc/loop-road/ (http://www.ericudell.com/evscc/loop-road/)  The autocross I went to started off in a straight line, then a slalom before the first corner.  The opening straight included a timed 1/8th mile, so when you finished you got an 1/8th mile ET and an overall lap time.  I was 17, and 2 of the older crew took me under their wing to teach me how to drive.  One was a 60 something year old guy named Dick who drove a 2002 Corvette Z06.  He saw I was way excited to be racing and asked if I wanted to sit shotgun while he took a lap, in his car.  So I could get a feel for the course.  I didn't know it at the time but, Dick was not the type of guy who bought the Z06 for bragging rights, he was an actual driver.  And That first lap of a high speed autocross course in the passenger seat of a Z06, with a real driver at the wheel was terrifying.  In a good way lol.  After the 1/8th mile drag section I thought he forgot about the slalom because we were carrying so much speed.  I thought it was physically impossible to slow down in time.  Nope.  He got on the brakes so hard it threw me into the seatbelt.  He went through the slalom at a speed that I wouldn't have thought you could do.  After finishing the lap and coming back to the start/finish, I got out with my knees shaking.  It was that awesome.  The other guy who taught me about driving was a guy named Dean.  He was about 50 and was a driving instructor at a Porsche racing school.  If anyone is interested in Autocross, I HIGHLY recommend checking out the Ecurie Vitesse Sports Car Club and an event they do every year, called the Bay Bottom Crawl.  They get all kinds of cool cars to show up.

Really cool reading about everybody's car history. Lots of neat cars in all of these (extremely formidable) lists

My previous history:

1994 Thunderbird V6 - a Teal disaster of a first vehicle. Owned May 2009 - Sept 2009
2002 Mustang GT 5 spd - Sonic Blue with all the bolt-ons possible; built on a high schoolers budget. Owned Oct 2009 - Aug 2013
2012 Focus Titanium - Blue Candy metallic with the handling package with all options. Owned July 2012 - Feb 2014
2010 Lincoln MKS Ecoboost Red S Appearance/Performance package with sienna brown interior. Owned Feb 2014 - Sept 2015
2016 Explorer Sport - Shadow Black, only a few options, no mods, could never get comfortable in the seats. Leased Sept 2015 - Oct 2016
2013 Lincoln MKZ 3.7 - Smoked Quartz Metallic with every option. Owned October 2016 - Aug 2017. Was involved in a wreck that was covered up very well until things went bad very fast.

Current:

2015 Bronze Fire SHO non PP - CPO purchased in Aug 2017. Mods in the works right now for a spring time mini build... make it stop, make it handle, make it loud, make it go, then make it look pretty. The mantra that I should have followed with my Mustang in high school. Build thread to follow in the coming month or so :)

Thanks.  The '55 has been lightly modified.  It was painted and the seats recovered before I bought it, in the original colors, but not original style upholstery.  After I got it, I replaced the 2-barrel carb with a Holley 4000 teapot.  I later rebuilt the engine, and replaced the teapot with an Autolite 4100 1.08 on a '57 intake, with a '57 distributor.  I also converted it from 6V to 12V.  When it was 6V, it would crank forever, but it was really hard to start.  Now with the 12V, everything works great, except the temp gauge reads backwards.  I have a set of 113 heads (higher compression) that I would like to put on someday, but that's way down on my project list.  I've also considered adding A/C from Classic Auto Air, but I probably won't get to that anytime soon.
