Title: what parts are these and what do these hoses lead to. (P0150 and P1602 codes)
Post by: curry67 on January 05, 2018, 09:53:59 PM
having misfire problems replaced plugs and boots and still persisted. Just noticed these 2 hoses dont have clamps and this bracket holding whatever the one thing is not one piece anymore.

That looks like your fuel vapor hose!  Does it have a Red connector?
I do see the engine ground cable !!!!
Is it located near the PCV oil separator?  Z

Did you happen to check for codes?  How many miles?
The fuel vapor hose should be connected!  If not broken!
I know you mentioned the plugs were changed recently but any visible oil inside the spark plug wells?  Rear valve cover?
It looks like the oil separator might also need replacing!  PCV valve!
It might be beneficial to also check the CAC (Intercooler) for pooling of oil-H20 with an oil dip-stick!
Check the oil level to make sure its nice and full!
Due forgive me for all the questions simply trying to help you out.  Z  :)

P0150 and P1602. my battery died when i was trying to start it in the cold like a week ago so it might be that low voltage thing. it went to bone dead then i got a boost and charged the battery up again on a long drive. Its running a bit better today. Gonna do that CAC check as thats all i can think of at this point nad gonna double check the tubes and stuff i might clean all the s*** off to get a better look at stuff.

A dead battery will set p1602 for obvious reasons.

P0150 is upstream bank 2 (radiator side).  Very easy to get to.  Replace with motorcraft only.

You have plenty of space to get in there. Just put the front end up and get it from underneath.

Unplug the harness from up top, cut off the wire to make more room just above the sensor, heat it up and apply some penetrating oil, put either a 7/8 box end wrench or an o2 socket on there if you have one, and just slowly loosen it up.  It's really that easy.  Nothing needs to be dropped or removed to get to it.

That or just bring it to a shop.  Should take them a half hour to do.  An hour tops.
