Title: Megan’s popping
Post by: StealBlueSho on December 02, 2017, 09:16:17 AM
Megan's just started popping at low speed sharp turns... think making a turn in a neighborhood or in a parking lot. Mainly from the passenger side...

Gonna need to get her up on jack stands to check all the boots, bolts, etc...

It's a popping noise for sure...

Possibly strut mount or a spring not fully seated.  At least that is what it is with H&R's.

SHOdded is spot on!  I had a rattling noise a while back and re-torqued the Strut Tower Bolts to OEM Specs which resolved my issues.  Z

Have you figured out your popping yet?

I was getting the same popping, mostly from driver side, when turning at low speeds or leaving parking lots.

All nuts/bolts are still torqued to spec and all ball joints in good condition.

After a couple nights of 'Google-Fu' everyone was pointing to coil bind or to the pillow bushing binding.

I finally decided to tighten the springs. I ended up having to add just under an 1/8" of preload to front springs to get rid of the pops.

I'm guessing the springs have finally settled and the was not fully seated.
