Start off with saying Hi. I have a 2013 sho with 3bar map and tune. Ive had the tune for around a month with no problems at all. Then a few days ago i got on the gas a little and heard a loud pop and hiss(like a hose blowing off). Opened the hood and the noise maker had blown off. I put it back and just brushed it off. Well it happened again. I can do the delete no problem but wanted to know if there may be another problem causing this.
Welcome aboard there gre8one7! How much boost are you showing?
It's typically normal because your building more boost with your Tune.
Is the noise maker secured properly with the arm fully fastened around the radiator hose.
It could be that the diaphragm inside the N.maker is not secured properly or needs to be replaced. Z
Welcome to the community, gre8! Good info above. The factory clamping is definitely on the weaker side. And if the clamps hold, the pipes split LOL.
Id look for something else causing that...there should be no problem even at sustained 20 psi...there is no clamp its like a locking clevis
I would first make sure there is a clamp on there seated, secured properly. Z

I made sure the clamp was on there good, it blew off again. Dunno how much boost(is there a way to see?) but its just a 91 octane livernois tune.

Something is not right id say...livernois doesnt run a lot of boost...
Im not sure what you mean...there is no clamp...its basically a retaining locking clip that holds the pipe on....when you slide the pipe on and insert the clip you cant pull the pipe off
meant retaining clip, not clamp.
Is the N.Maker arm fully secured against the radiator hose? Z
yes it is.
Is it possible the clip or the housing for the clip is fault...like a crack or something that would cause it to feel secure but with enough pressure to let go?
I checked it out the other day and noticed the NM pulled off pretty easily by hand. Probably just block it off and call it good.
