Title: dual intake
Post by: HuskerSHO on July 24, 2017, 10:03:25 PM
ok im new here and dont know these vehicles well but have noticed dual intake seems to be in high demand as ive looked around and read forums... my question is: is there a problem or would it be bad for the motor if there was 2 separate intake feeds and filters? i dont even know where the second pipe comes from in the dual intake setup...

my idea is to have one of the mdesign intakes and where the other intake is "piped" in the dual flow intake setup that hennessy use to make have another filter where the Hennessy (or k&n) filter sits...is that ok to do or would that cause problems?

As long as you have filters and a heat shield you are good. I'm still too lazy to.make a heat shield for mine

Edit:  the second pipe comes from the front Turbo, just look at my post history to give you some ideas

This is fairly easy to do.......

There is a post in here that details what parts you will need as well as this filter.......

Any idea when this will be done? Would rather buy than make my own...thought I saw livernoise was making one also...?

I believe very soon. I know he has test fit a few different vehicles. I am excited to see any verifiable gains. REALLY excited to see how that meth hookup will work and how efficient it will all be.

I'm in the process of making mine but don't expect to done soon or of high quality. My printer broke so it's delayed by another month

Working on it, it's hot here in Phoenix so it delays things some.
