Title: Added electric cutouts tied into Homelink just past the H pipe
Post by: CCXVI on July 09, 2017, 01:14:28 PM
So I was sent over here from reddit to show you folks my exhaust setup.  The 3rd cat and resonator were removed and replaced with an H pipe.  Just past that is a pair of cutouts.  They use a wireless signal, which you can teach the homelink to replicate.

Looks and sounds great!  How did you set up the electric/wireless signal to the Homelink?

Glad to see you join us! I too would like to know how to program the homelink system to the cutouts. Hell I can't even get it to learn my garage door!

Garage doors use rolling codes and require a special procedure to program into home link, you can look up the directions for it.

Like:

Press and hold the two outside buttons on the Homelink® system until the LED starts to blink, release buttons. While the LED on the garage door opener is blinking, return to the vehicle and press the pre-programmed Homelink® button 4 times. (Or until the garage door operates).

So I am guessing the cutoffs are the kind that come with a remote for the keychain? Or do you have a link to the ones you have?

Exactly, you teach the home link the frequency from the included remote.  I used a no name kit off Amazon because I had no idea how good it would sound when open.  Thought it'd be raspy but it sounds amazing.
