Title: 2012 f150 cam phasers
Post by: Texboost12 on January 06, 2017, 11:08:36 PM
Anyone have this issue with the cam phasers/ or chain tensioners failing? 75,000 miles never and issue till 3 days ago. No noises just a check engine light and has Ford covered the repairs?

Timing chain stretch is a well known issue, enough for Ford to issue TSBs and updated parts.  Not sure about tensioners though.  As far as warranty, there is no extended warranty that I know of, so if you have ESP warranty remaining, then it will be covered.

You should go through the TSBs/recalls listed on this site:
