Post by: beaven69 on September 05, 2016, 02:26:25 PM
hi i'm new here
I made a diagnosis to stock 2010 Ford Taurus SHO
I wonder if the p00c6 code and failure p0304 is due only to the injectors or may be another cause?

and ask before buying and read most of this great forum and obtained a lot of information but this time if I am in doubt
someone who can help me with advice

Thank you

Could very well be a HPFP failure, the P0304 could be an injector failure (most likely cause) but also a bad spark plug especially if the plugs have not been replaced with SP534.  SP528 plugs (original to your 2010) were prone to cracked insulators and there is a TSB confirming that.

Ugh sorry to hear!  Do you think you will DIY?  One of our members recently documented his experience doing it, if you want to go that route.

If you look under Rock auto the 2010+SHO calls for three types of NGK & MC-SP-534 plugs which are just re-branded version.    2013+SHO calls for only two types of NGK & MC-SP-534 plugs.   IDK.  Z      http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/ford,2011,taurus,3.5l+v6+turbocharged,1446498,ignition,spark+plug,7212?a=Referer+www.google.com+URL+%2F (http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/ford,2011,taurus,3.5l+v6+turbocharged,1446498,ignition,spark+plug,7212?a=Referer+www.google.com+URL+%2F)           http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/ford,2013,taurus,3.5l+v6+turbocharged,1503823,ignition,spark+plug,7212 (http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/ford,2013,taurus,3.5l+v6+turbocharged,1503823,ignition,spark+plug,7212)

i just remove the plug #2 is wet gas - changed position...

Id try changing the plug first. I always start with the easiest cheapest solution.
So you mean that you changed the plug and coil with a different Cyl and the original cyl is still flooding?

you were blowing fuel through the exhaust system, possibly broken down the converter a bit.

Purge valve behind intake manifold may need replacement, assuming canister & canister valve are OK.

I certainly agree with SHOdded about it being the purge valve and here is a How to test and troubleshoot the solenoid.  Z  ! No longer available (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6dsQoq73aE#)
