Title: Intake manifold removal?
Post by: glock-coma on September 01, 2016, 12:44:52 PM
Does anyone know of an intake manifold removal "How to" ?

I think I'm going to tackle the intake valve cleaning with walnut media
soon.
Any help is appreciated.

Just the upper intake manifold?  I can support via an excerpt from the FSM.  Would that help?

That would be very helpful. I believe the valves can be accessed through just the upper removal.

Yeah it's not bad. I thought I read that you have to remove the hp fuel
line , but  it's only the retaining line mounting bolt.
It shouldn't be to bad.

I'll change the tstat, do a coolant flush and change the plugs at the same time.

I guess after taking apart a few Intake manifolds on my Bimmer and Benz found out the hardest part is getting started and after that you have NO CHOICE but to finish the job.....just make sure to have an extra car just in case things do not go according to plans.  Z
