New vehicle, new problems. Traded in my SHO for a 16 X Plat. Needed something to tow with.
Noticed a lack of power so I connected the trusty FORSCAN to it. PCM immediately threw a P0034. I threw some PIDs at it and noticed the boost wasn't meeting the desired boost PID. Also noticed the Turbo BP1 stat was faulted to 'Open Circuit'
FORSCAN save attched
I have appt with Ford on Monday.
Any one else experience these issues?
Its something wrong with the Turbo bypass valve and would not drive it if indeed the WRENCH light is ON until your dealer visit and best of luck to ya and here's a link that supports that code. Check for loose disconnected vacuum hoses near the air box/intake manifold.

Weird part is, no Wrench light. Just noticed the lack of power and checked it out for myself.

What adapter are you using and do you leave it plugged in all the time? Def check hoses, they can pop off or split at/near the clamps, or look like they are connected but actually be working themselves loose.
http://www.obd-codes.com/p0034 (http://www.obd-codes.com/p0034)
QuotePotential causes for this P0034 code to trigger include:
• Faulty boost pressure sensor
• Bad turbocharger bypass valve
• Disconnected, cracked, or collapsed vacuum lines (vacuum actuated bypass valve)
• A defective turbocharger bypass valve actuator
• Boost control sensor circuit wiring may be shorted, burnt, cut, or disconnected
• Loose, corroded, or disconnected electrical connectors in the boost sensor reference circuit
• Defective PCM or boost controller
I'll try to find them. I only plug it in when needed. First time ever for this car

Should be rear.

Issue found and fixed. I'm thoroughly convinced it came from the factory like this but I went ahead and fixed it with 110v wire and an iron.
Hopefully there isn't any long term damage driving it like this for 10k miles, 4k of which were towing.

Glad you were able to fix the issue :) Do you know what the wiring is for?
Looks like it controlled the BoV, not entirely sure. Here are some additional photos. Yes that's the blow off valve located at the firewall
Definitely have the dealer install you a new bov harness/connector and certainly dont want the same issue again.....here's a Diagram for ya. I'll post pictures of fix tomorrow or Sunday. Not real keen paying 500$ to dealer when I'm fairly certain I obtained it from the dealer like this.

Not this type of thing. I couldn't prove that I got it like this.
