Title: No longer a lurker, newbie w/an Ingot Silver Explorer Sport!
Post by: MiDiablo on June 17, 2016, 10:40:57 AM
Hey guys, I've been lurking here for some time and now that we've upgraded that to the 2016 Explorer Sport w/the Ecoboost 3.5L TT - figured I'd jump on and do an intro.

I'm Josh. Husband, father, real estate investor. Just welcomed our beautiful baby girl (bonus baby, #3) into the world this past Sunday. And she's the reason we bought the Explorer :) Couldn't fit all 3 kids in the back of our Ecoboost Mustang, lol.

We've done a couple mods to the Explorer so far, here's what we've done:

SunTek CXP Ceramic Tint (55% full windshield, 18% 2 fronts, 80% over rear privacy glass)
SunTek PPF-C Clear Bra (full front bumper, 1/4 hood)
OptiCoat Pro Plus 2.0 Ceramic Paint Protection Coating
OptiCoat Glass Pro Glass Coating
Gloss Black "EXPLORER" Hood Emblems
BumperPlugs.Com OEM Ingot Silver Front License Plate Frame Plugs
MDesign Carbon Fiber Intake
OEM BOV's set to VTA
EcoBoost Twin Turbo Decal
EcoBeast Badge Overlay
EcoBeastBillet.Com EcoBeast Billet Aluminum Battery Tie Down (I helped to design this product)
And we put in the seat covers from Target to protect the leather from the kiddos feets, lol.

Anyways, just a quick intro to say hello... Looking forward to learning, chatting, modding, etc.

Welcome Josh  :WELCOME:

Also congrats on the new addition!

Good start on the mods... I have had CQuart finest for 2 and a half years and the finish is still perfect... Ceramic coating is the way to go IMHO.

Visited the site and FB page... Do you know if the the tie down will fit a 13+ SHO?

Welcome!  Nice ride!  Love the Explorer Sports and it looks great on the billet Site.  Looking forward to seeing what all you come up with for billet parts.

Where are you located?  Maybe a local SHO/MKS owner could help test fit to see which parts you develop can cross over.

Thanks man!  Agreed, ceramic coating is a superior product, no doubt. And yes, we do believe the tie downs will fit the Explorer Sport, SHO, MKS and Flex at this time.  We have a couple test products on the way to F150 (3.5 and 2.7) as well as Fiesta owners; the Focus is a bit different product, so we're working on that design.  We're also developing an "EB" logo for the Mustang front quarter panel location (like the 5.0 has) that we just got our first finished design cut on Friday (I'll get a photo up of it on the Facebook page this weekend).  We're currently working on an order for shirts, hats, vinyl decals and keychains to be put in our SWAG department, haha.

Thank you!  Yes, we'll definitely keep you guys updated, for sure.  I'm located in Trinity and/or Spring Hill FL (near Tampa/Clearwater metros).  I've got a couple parts headed to several of you guys on here, and we'll get you test fitted, confirmed perfect, and update the website accordingly.  *IF* there is to be any revisions of sizes or anything, please let me know, and we'll resolve together to make sure all future orders are correct for each individual vehicle/application! Fair enough?

Love the Mustang too!

Does or will Eco Beast Billet have the capability to do things that are more 3 dimensional?  In other words, do you have access to a mill and lathe as well?

I have a billet cap kit from Shelby that is gorgeous and really dresses up an engine compartment. I have transferred it from car to car. It's a Mustang kit so only the coolant and oil filler caps were useable on the MKS, but it also includes a dipstick handle, brake cap, and power steering cap.

A cap set that said EcoBeast specific for the transverse 3.5 would be awesome!  A complete set removes all of the yellow from an engine compartment and sprinkles billet goodness everywhere.

X2 on the billet cap set idea.... Maybe even an oval billet to replace the front blue oval too!

Thanks guys - digging the Mustang, for sure - it's more fun w/every upgrade :)

I'll see what we can do to work on some billet covers like you guys have mentioned.  We'll put it on our downline for products to be researched/developed, for sure.
