Title: How to run a power cable from the battery through the firewall
Post by: Scott4957 on June 14, 2016, 10:03:43 PM
Can we sticky this? I finally found a post from Lanson explaining it all and with good pictures. We should host the pictures if possible in case they get moved at some point like many have.

I ran my though the large grommet behind the cowl also. Definitely get the wiper arm removal tool. It saved me a ton of time, I was nervous trying to pry it off was going to crack the windshield.   I have some pics from the SHO I'll try to find them.

You definitely want to protect the wire once it's inside the dash. There's lots of  sharp edges inside from the dash frame support.

This is what I used to remove the wiper arm. It's about $5

Also make sure you mark the wiper are location with some tape so you get it back to the same spot when reinstalling.

My windshield has indicators where the wiper blades line up. Maybe not the intended use case but they line up perfectly.
