Title: Crappy OEM Floormats
Post by: Vortech347 on May 20, 2016, 01:27:28 PM
The OEM floormats that come with our cars are pieces of crap.  I've had them out for half of my ownership of the car and one of the edges is already coming apart.  They are thin and just half ass...  The OE ones from my other Fords were much higher quality and durability.

Are there any floor mats that go over the dead pedal area?  Only 20k on my car and that area is starting to look rough.  Again, floor carpet is thin/cheap.  The floor carpet in my 90 Mustang GT with almost 200k is wearing better.

I don't like weather tech or husky ones.  Their fit isn't clean enough for my OCD.

I dont think your as meticulous as me though lol, have three sets of mats that i use one for every season lol,1)Summer time use my Weather tech rubber all weather mats which can be found on the link below, great overall quality but wish the drivers side had more coverage,2)Weather tech liners in the fall and look like paint trays lol,3)Husky liners for winter which in cold weather tend to buckle up,hope this helps any and let me know if you need pics of my Summer mats.  Z  :))     http://www.weathertech.com/ford/2013/taurus/floor-mats-all-weather/ (http://www.weathertech.com/ford/2013/taurus/floor-mats-all-weather/)(http://i.imgur.com/nc3zmud.jpg?1)

I have mats for different seasons/occasions as well.  I have a set new ones I use for my terminator at car shows and never drive the car with them.

Thank you for that link, those look great.  I'll pick up a set!  The big tub looking ones just don't fit well and honestly look like they are for a truck/utility.  I loved the ones in my Marauder.  I had 125k on the OEM ones 50/50 summer use and they wore fantastic.
