Title: Steering Noise ?
Post by: SHOhobo on March 13, 2016, 08:06:07 PM
Is it normal for one to hear a sound that, to me, sounds like a softened buzzing sound when cranking the steering wheel at slow driveway speeds...hard to exactly describe the sound but a soften or muzzled light buzzing sound is as best I can describe it.  Don't hear it at speed and it seems to be more prominent after a heavy exposure to driving in rain....so obviously moisture exasperates the issue...if it even is an issue as there is no effect on the feel of steering....2015 SHO non-PP

The EPAS system has been known to build up rust on the sensors, so a tech getting up underneath the SHO and cleaning/greasing the sensors might be all that's needed.  Take it in to the dealer.

Mine started to do this very thing yesterday.  53k on it.

What's the process to DIY remedy the sensors?
