Hello, I tried to look for any information about this before making a new thread and it being my first thread. Well let me get right to it, I bought an sct x4 tuner for my 2013 ford Taurus sho. The error it is giving me when I go to program it is " vehicle unsupported" then gives me a KHDK4TA code. I wanted to know if anyone has run into these issues and what was a good way to resolve them.
I think that's the strategy code for your SHO. You or your tuner have to call SCT and have the strategy code added to their database. Might take a few days. After that, tuning can resume.
You'll have to call SCT. Mine said the same thing at first. They had to run a test file on it.
My advice however is to not run the SCT tune. I had cold temp throttle surging and It would throw weird codes when I was driving hard on it through a canyon. When I talked to SCT about this they wouldn't even send me a .cfg file for what to datalog. While faster for sure than stock. I figured I would just be happy with the basic SCT but I wasn't.
You may want to send Torrie at unleashed tuning an e-mail.. His 2 bar (100% stock component) tune had 3 more PSI than the SCT one and ran WAY better.
oh wow thanks, I am very new to all this, so when you say Torrie at unleashed tuning an e-mail what is a good email for them (him), I also bought a 3 bar that should get here any day.
