If any of you remember me I was last on here when I finished my SHO project (upgraded turbos, meth, downpipes, etc.). Then it threw a rod out of the block a few weeks after I got it back from getting tuned. I tossed around the idea of putting a motor in it and since I get bored with cars quickly at the same time I was shopping around for something else. I ended up finding a dealer that was willing to take the trade minus $2,500 for a used motor -- a deal I couldn't pass up, so I called up a friend and had it back to stock the next day and it was gone. I did a 180 and got a Subaru BRZ. I enjoyed the BRZ, it was fun I did a few minor modifications to it but the lack of power and expense into getting it at an acceptable level wasn't worth it.
So now I have a 2015 Focus ST and the same day we picked my girl up a 2015 Edge Sport.
I'm currently putting a Mountune MR300 package on the Focus and prepping it for DD and weekend track days. Mountune clubsport suspension, 6-piston Wilwoods, upgraded cooling, and a few other items.
I mainly got back on here for the Edge. I'm extremely curious about the strength and reliability of the new 2.7 Ecoboost drivetrain with added power. Livernois just released their tune for it and they are getting over 100 hp/tq increase, tune only, which is far more power than I was seeing with the 3.5 and a tune in the SHO. I was really shocked when I read the numbers. I found 1 track video so far where an owner picked up 1.2 sec. and 8mph in the 1/4. Impressive.
Here's the Focus, I don't have any pictures of the Edge on my phone.

Hey Steven! Glad to see ya back on here, with renewed focus on the EB platform :)
You must have seen Corey's video, right? Yeah, the CGI block might just prove sturdier than its' predecessor. But Ford keeps tinkering with the programming in the PCM as well, so it allows tuners to more than ever with each progression. Note they still have the same 6F55 transmission though, no idea whether the internals/PTU are any better than before. So I expect the same practical limits to be tested.
BTW, those gains are not peak-to-peak, but at particular points on the graphs. Here is the Dyno for your reading pleasure:

Welcome back. Love that color on the focus. How are you liking the edge?

I really like the Edge. We were on the fence about getting rid of our Grand Cherokee Summit that we both loved but we wanted something more fun to to drive. The Edge handles really well. It has the optional 21" wheel with summer tire package.

I did, was waiting to hear back about some info on the 2.7 before I got the tune.
I might be interested in something a little less extreme. Maybe slightly detuned and for 91 octane. Looking to keep it for a while and I doubt I'll worry about taking it to the track. Just something to make daily driving a little more fun 🙂.

We do offer tunes for 87,89,91, and 93 octane in both performance and tow performance versions. These 2.7 engines make some very noticeable gains in both HP and TQ while still driving like stock when you drive casually yet feel much more intelligent and smooth shifting / throttle response wise. Then have that put you back in the seat and hold you there type of power our tunes are known for when you drive more aggressively. Best of both worlds!
