Stopped off for a beer with coworkers after a meeting today. When I walked out I thought I had a parking ticket. Turns out it was a note from one of those nice people telling me about an a$$hole. The note said plate number ******* big blue Chevy truck hit your car and left. I looked at the car to see this.

I was pissed for sure. I'll be passing that plate number on the insurance tonight when I make a claim.
Don... Had the same thing happen to the right rear of our f250 in a private parking lot while we were eating... I called the Local PD and they went to the house of the individual, found the car, and got an offer from the perp to fix it... Which we took... I sent abit tub of barbecue to the gracious soul who left me the info. Kinda restores one's faith in humanity.
My insurance will cover me with no deductible and they will go after the perp for the expenses. Since I was parked on the street the local PD just came out and took a report and said they will send county PD out to chat with them. The office told me that I'd the owner admits to doing it they will get a ticket for improper backing and leaving the scene of an accident. If they say they weren't driving then they can't do anything since there isn't proof of who was driving and the person who left the note didn't leave their contact info.
Damn man that sucks!! The worst I had was just a door ding on the quarter panel. Did they gouge your wheel up too?

It will be great if some white paint was detected on the ***holes vehicle proving credible evidence in leaving a scene of a crime, hope you get everything squared away and best of luck. Z
Sorry to see this, Don, hope you get the proper resolution to this!
I'm actually cool with this. I really wanted to get my front clip and hood repainted from rock chips and such. The body shop will need to blend the hood and front clip so it'll be good as new with no cost to me.
