Post by: SHOnUup on September 27, 2015, 08:27:55 PM
So what would everyone consider an avg stock dyno HP # for the 3.5 transverse?

TIA

I dont know but id figure because this is an automatic transmission AND AWD i would say 20-25% drivetrain and parasitic loss...my guess is 273-292 awhp

I believe Ford figures about 25% .... Mine was 290 AWHP bone stock. I have seen numbers from 285-297 AWHP ON 3 other SHOs when they were bone stock. Many variables involved of course.

Most 2010's - 2012's were running between 277-281 at the wheels in stock form.

So the aforementioned guesses are within reason.

Not exactly science but torque and my g-tech pro were both 283 consistently.

Remember that different dynos give different numbers. Not really a great comparison of power between vehicles. :D

For sure...just had a random saying that the drive train loss is only 17%....so I call upon the experts here to clear this up.

There are dynos that can measure the drive train loss, just FYI.
I think I had one done and so around there if I remember correctly.

In a couple weeks i am going to rent a dyno and see how my tune is...i pretty much have it as good as im going to get it...i will do a stock pull to grab a base line...it will be stock boost but with down pipes and intake...its a dynojet
