Post by: jomc111 on July 02, 2013, 04:23:31 PM
After i sell my mazda i plan on setting $3,000 to put into the show already basically know what i am going to do with it. But what would you do?

So As the title states if you had $3,000 to spend on your ride what would you do?
Also who knows where to get stuff on the cheep (tires, rims, ect..) post up link and we can database it maybe sticky it later on down the road.

Upgraded Turbos ~$1500 to $2000
Upgraded fueling system for E85  ~1500 to $2000
Still working on getting everything set up for Turbos Direct and the fueling system.

Hmmm...what would I do now..or what would I do if I started all over again?

Personally, I would probably buy a set of Arc Audio Black 6.3s for the front 5.2s for the rear, an Arc Audio 300.4 to drive them and an PS8 to control it all. That would add up to about 3 G. Or, just save it and apply it to a new engine so I could really put some power into this thing. I have pretty much every other mod, and just ordered a set of coilovers today.

If I were just starting out...I'd get a dyno tune from Livernois, after installation of an AlkyControl Meth Injection kit, catted downpipes, a drop in K&N air filter, a 170 degree thermostat and a set of H&R or Eibach springs...thats pretty much 3000 there.

MyCal with Stage 5 tune
Meth Kit
EBC Stage 5 brake kit
170 thermostat
Springs.

And then sell my SCT tuner. Any other left over money, would go towards more parts for my Turbo ZX14.

Since I have most mods, and 2 sets of wheels, I would spend it on wine to put in my mouth!

That would just about cover me for 2014!

Uh Oh!  I just discovered I could get the Tremblants with F1's for under 2K.  I love my stock 20's but these are very tempting for summer.  On the other hand, I could just get the Tremblants for about 1300 installed with my Michelins and sell the stockers. I'll have to do some thinkin' on it.

I'd have to go cat less dp's, 170* therm, bigger turbos and meth for now, since I think that'd take up pretty close to the 3k, and a set of stock 18's to throw on for the occasional track day.

Brakes brakes brakes. I would upgrade every aspect of the braking system.  Calipers, Rotors, pads, lines, etc.  Brembos if it could be done.

Same here.  If I ever do anything with the exhaust it will be downpipes with cats and X pipe to replace resonator/third muffler.  From there back, stock.
