My wife's 2009 escape is having A/C issues. Nothing is blowing out of the vents when set on 1 or 2. Only 3 and 4 work. Any thoughts? It's a V6 AWD XLT. Thanks.

Sounds like a blower motor resistor. I had a similar problem in our 4runner.

x2 on above. Also check cabin filter if you have one. Very neglected maintenance item.

I tried replacing the cabin air filter at one point, but it proved to be too much of a PITA to get at. I will keep that in mind though. Thanks.

Awesome video. My dad said it might be the resistor. Thanks. I'll update if that was the fix.
I am sure you already this type of video for the cabin filter:

Thanks for the vid. Makes it look so easy. I don't remember what hung me up on changing the cabin air filter cause I tried a few years ago. I'll try again.
Replaced the blower resistor today. Works perfect now. The 2 8mm bolts are a PITA to get on/off, but other that that an easy fix. Thanks again for the video.
Glad to hear it was an easy fix.
Nice to have that A/C back on line! Enjoy :)
