I wouldn't expect this to have happened right infront of the Daytona International Speedway on ISB. But as I was doing a u-turn and hauling to go back to the carmeet I hang out with on Thursdays a raccoon jumped across the road that was the size of a dog almost.. I jumped on the brakes and stopped a half a car length after hitting it, it went through my bumper and trans cooler and because I turned slightly left to avoid it, it was kicked up and hit my passenger door and dinged it on the lower panel and left a long scratch. Bad part is. I was already going to the dealer the day after for warranty work and body work because the rear bumper was hit weeks ago by some old lady in the drive through at mcdonalds.. Talk about bad luck..
Wow, that's amazing the damage that varmint caused.
Sucks but a good body shop will get you like new again.
Damn... that had to be one hell of a racoon. At least he paid for it. I wonder if accelerating would have lifted the front enough to deflect him under the car.
OUCH!!!! :black_eye:
Ooooh...good luck on the fix
Rich
Sorry to see this happen, hope your car is restored to "normal" ASAP! I think the raccoon was reading way too much into the bumper porting discussions for the CAI :)
Raccoon tagged me in florida last year as well, but I hit him on the drivers side... destroyed the active radar so now I have no cruise control :( Just be glad it hit you on the passenger side, those radar units are not cheap!
Been there Done that- though yours looks to be a bit higher and more damage. Mine hit low and about 1/2 between the center line and the passenger "running light". Did just shy of 1k damage....damn big rats is all they are.
Wannabes!

That sucks -
Hope they can get you back up and running as good as new soon!
