Title: Got my PPE Catted DP's with Corsa (video)
Post by: SHOFan808 on December 01, 2014, 02:24:02 PM
Hey, so a while back my SHO got rear ended and my custom exhaust was messed up as a result.  The body shop I went to was great, and along with doing an awesome job with the repairs, allowed me to get my custom exhaust replaced with a brand new Corsa exhaust AND PPE catted downpipes, all covered by the insurance!  Some body shops get real finicky with stuff like that, but my guys did what they had to, to make it happen.  I ordered both items through Mike, at EPP, who helped me out a lot with the whole process.  Torrie from Unleashed, gave me the updated tune for the downpipes, which is also awesome.

Anyhow, I've seen a small number of videos posted on PPE downpipes with Corsa exhaust (rarely on any 2014), but being I have a GoPro, I wanted to provide everyone with an up close video for the sound of some idle, revs, and then a 0-100MPH run.  This is on 92 octane gas.  Enjoy and share any thoughts, if any.

That was great.

I'm ashamed to say, my Corsa exhaust has been sitting still in the box in my garage for months now.   I never can find the time or energy to install it :(  Might just need to pay someone.

If your looking to pay someone an hour tops at a muffler shop, and 150.00 is a fair price, just my 2cent.

Thanks guys!  I'm pretty happy with it, especially since it doesn't have the drone inside the car that my custom exhaust did.

ZSHO, thanks for the advice, because I just started noticing a slight rasp sound under medium load at low RPM.  I'll take it in as soon as I can to get it re-tightened.

One thing I would absolutely love to see for this car is a different final drive.  I have the non PP, but I would love to see something more extreme than the gearing the PP has.  Coming from an Evo X, I'm used to close ratio gears.  I know it's a totally different animal, but the 3rd gear on the SHO just kills me lol.
