While I had the car up on stands a few weeks ago to install downpipes and hot pipes I checked everything out under the car. It is a 2013 that I bought new last November. It had just over 15k on it when I installed the pipes. I discovered both rear shock were leaking, the drivers side worse than the passenger. This is also the first time I had been under car since I bought it. I am not lowered either. I took it to the dealer and they are going to replace them under warranty but the shocks are on National back order, whatever that is. I think it means there are lots of these issues with the shocks which is why there are none in stock in Ford's inventory. Just curious if anyone else has had issues with the shocks.
Wait till you feel the difference when you change them.....
What is the build date on your car? I'd like to know if mine has the same shocks.
mine are leaking also. What is a good aftermarket alternative? Can I use PP on a nonPP car?

8/12 is the build date on the sticker.

I have a 2010, but I saw that my rears were leaking too. Then, I found some strange dents in both of them that I could never figure out. My car is out of warranty, so I ordered my replacements (FoMoCo) on Rock Auto and had them in a week. It took about 30 minutes to replace them both. Pretty interesting that Ford says that they are on "National Back Order".....
Check out the pictures of my dented shocks!!!

Like others also reported having issues with tires wearing uneven due to leaking rear shocks, more commonly the rear drivers side is affected more than the other side, but if one is leaking they should replace both sides if covered under warranty,so basically would check to see the condition of your tires, especially inside and try to take pics and mention to your sevice advisor.
Still waiting for Megan to turn their attention back to the '13+ transverse platform ... Ridiculous that there is no aftermarket even for common items like shocks & struts.
