Title: clicking when backing up
Post by: sunwolf on August 25, 2014, 09:08:20 PM
Just today I noticed my car makes a clicking sound when backing up if I hit the gas. It makes a couple clicks like some gears are sliding into place then stops for as long as i back up. When I start going foreward it clicks again but after that it wont make the noise until  I use reverse again. Has anyone seen this problem? I have LMS tune as my only mod. Could this have damaged my trans or something already at 5K? I will try to upload a video later if this helps.

EDIT: This is not when turning. It happens during turns or straight lines so I would think it is different from the issue covered in the thread below.

I dont think its tune related, try returning the car back to stock for a while and see if it happens again and proceed from there, also check if there are any DTC codes on the my cal tuner?

Too early to have problems!  Possibly the RDU (low fluid perhaps?) if sound is coming from the rear.  Did you get a halfshaft recall notice?
