Well, I have finally got my hands on the LMS tunes I have been waiting for. Loaded LMS 93 PERF V8.....
Let me tell you............WOW!!!!!!!!!
I can not believe what a difference the tune makes to the car....I obly had about 10 mins of drive time before I had to get back into work, but holy snikey!!!!!!! My heart is still pumping......Which I could have taken a pic of my girl....The look on her face when I got on it was priceless.......
Now I can't wait to gete out of work and enjoy the new found power! Great job LMS!!!!
Welcome to a whole new car feel! Good luck on the better mpg to boot as the next month I bet your right foot feels a little heavy.
It's amazing the difference a few lines of code does to an car these days.. now cruise control is mandatory lol.
my pockets have been paying for the heavy foot....
Quick question for you, the tune I loaded does not require me to have the 3BAr and 170 T STat correct?

you would know if it required it..... your car would run like crap.....the LMS Stage 4+X will require all that stuff..... with that being said, if you were impressed with the new tunes now, just wait until you put the 160* themostat in, with new plugs gapped at .030, and a 3 bar sensor. You will be amazed again to see a huge jump in performance. With those upgrades you will be spinning tires in second gear and doing power slides in first when pulling out of places..... worth the $150 more for those parts, and you can install all yourself in about 2 hours.
Thanks SHO-TYM......Making me want to go out and get all the stuff already!!!
One last question, how long after you load the new tunes does the rough shifting go away?

depends on how heavy your foot is. The car learns how you drive on a day to day basis. Mine took about a week and it smoothed out quite a bit. It has been almost a month now, and it feels good under WOT, but when driving normal, it is smooth as butter. I may be going back to the track tonight, so I may reflash my tune to get my shifts faster for the track. at first it is scary to feel the shifts.... but it does get softer. I promise

I think the key to smooth shifting is a consistent gas pedal through gears. If you let off a bit at those shift points it seems to jam it into gear.
Clocked my SHO zero to sixty at 4.6 seconds last winter and I never changed the plugs or thermostat. Car never over heats and I average 18mpg with a somewhat heavy foot. I'm sticking to the-if it ain't broke don't fix it deal! Glad you're enjoying the tune it makes all the difference!
Clocked a 0-60 time of 5.4 today. Seem slow?

It does seem slow. Ford claims 5.1sec 0-60 stock. My 2013 nonPP with LMS v8 3BAR tune pretty consistently gives me 3.9 - 4.2 sec 0-60 with all the grannies on. My only performance mods are the tune, 3BAR MAP, and PPE downpipes.
I would guess there is something amiss... Boost leak, excessive knock and loss of timing, wrong plug gap/failing plug or coil or other cause for misfire under load, corrupt tune...? ... If it's not a measurement anomaly I'd start looking.

What did you use to clock time?
Like mentioned here on the forum so many times, could be the K&N cai causing these issues, try to put the stock cai back and see if you achieve better times good luck with the ride.
Being lowered and having dpipes I'd think these times should be better. Those 60 ' s look like the key though. My trip to track this year netted all 5 runs with mph at 85 in 1/8 mile also?
Wrong thread...oops
Used the timer on my iphone. I'm going to try it again with the Torque app. What do you guys think I should be seeing?
Just pulled a 4.7 in torque which is way off still I feel...need to make sure your weight of car is right and the speedo is adjusted also

It seems that everyone who uses Torque gets a slower than expected number.
With Torque the best I've done is 4.7 as well. Torque isn't the fastest app in the world and it seems inconsistent so I wouldn't use it for timing applications.

In the drag racing section, there is an excel sheet that calculates your 0-60 from your timeslips. I'm at 4.76 so you tuned guys are probably in the 4-4.25 area if I had to guess. I don't have much faith in Torque for timing or power which is all over the place....

Gonna have to check this out as the 0-60 is a hard time to actually record.

I know.... But I have reports and Aeroforce gauge pics from several folks (SHO and MKS)... Most commonly since it got warm here (ambient temps 110-115 in the day it has been closer to 4.2... Definitely ready for the fall cool down! I also think there are unique differences in our cars, some hardware, some driving style.

I'm 4.76 "stock", so if he's got a strong car/tune definitely in the realm of possibility.
geswek is at 12.5@112 at a track below sea level on a cool night. That's low 4 territory. Definitely possible for sub 4.3 0-60's in the right conditions and mods (tune, full exhaust, springs, light wheels, etc).

ShoBoat....Absolutely agree and have seen it.... And 1/8 miles at and under 8 sec... A little hard to compare CHP and WHP, not to mention drive ratio, etc. with a calculation using only one variable. It's why we race and test.

Don't forget all that Torque we make @1700 RPM...
These cars were made for 0-60 pwnage.
For what it is the SHO launches like a slingshot. People still freak out when they see one at the track and what they can do.

I second this...many V8 muscle cars have smiled and shook their head no with a grin as I've tried to entice them into a SHOdown with a mini launch
3.9 0-60? Heck yes! Ignore the quarter mile result - not enough room on this test track. On a longer stretch of road but before my last tune upgrade, I was at 4.2 0-60 and 12.74 in the quarter. Both times was recorded on a very cool morning and on a concrete surface with awesome grip.

After seeing all these numbers you guys are posting for your 0-60. My 5.4 seems extemely slow.....I'll need to do some runs on a good surface and see if I can get it any better. If not, sounds like I have a problem.
Put it in Sport Mode and video tape it. Launch between 1800-2000. Then post the video :)
For the guys that are wanting to time their runs try Dynolicious.
Here is a review for it at the track vs a GTech (piece of junk) i know i had one.

Spinning....
The key is traction with the higher HP cars, the SRT Hellcat could only get high 4's the other day by a youtube test channel has 707 HP.
It's not always about the power, it's about the traction and the power.
According to the 0-60 calculator I was at 3.72 with the Flex with my low 12 runs (8.0@88 1/8 mile)
With my V I'm running 0-60 at 2.72 according to my 7.0@101 MPH 1/8 mile :)
My fix for street traction is a ProEFI setup for my V which is being installed now, should net me a sub 3 second 0-60 on the street (we're hoping)

The 5.4 (or a tick quicker) is about what it should run when stock. Either the timing method you are using is incorrect or something else is going on. I know the K & N will raise the IAT but would it make a full second of difference? Not sure about that.....
If I do not brake torque at launch, I am about 1/2 second slower - around 4.5. Leaving around 1700 is literally slingshot like - especially on a high traction surface.
I saw .2 and 2mph slower in 1/4 mile with my Flex and was verified by two others with their vehicles with the Airaid setup, just FYI.

Wednesday can't come soon enough!
So last night I added the Knock PID for the Torque app and went out and made some pulls....The highest reading I got at WOT the +2.0, but majority of the time it stayed at 0. I even saw a -1.0.
It was raining last night so I didn't get any real good 0-60 tries....Maybe tonight.
I will say one thing thought.....I'm still a bit confused as to why everyone thinks the K&N hurts performance? I was monitoring the Ambient Temp and it hovered around 78. Under normal driving condition's I never saw the IAT drop more them a few degrees, but when under WOT, I saw and average of 20-30 degree difference. During one pull, I noticed it go to with in a 5 degree's of the Ambient. Thoughts?

Exactly, and from what I have found since then the stock filter has no restriction over the K&N panel filter in the stock box. I am now working with the Airaid intake, and I have been having promising results with that.
