Just installed last night, no notice of any type of gains. And its not loud at all.
Still need to install my 534s and 170tstat then tune.
Congrats ...now when you go to install tstat you're gonna be like DAMN, I have to take CAI out to do it. I did the same thing.
Yep, thought the same thing....at least its easy to do..
Looks good! Glad to see the filter sock on there :)
Haha didn't think of that. Oh well the install was a breeze so I'm not too worried. One thing I noticed is this thing is super quiet. Most intakes give that sucking sound when you get on it and this has almost nothing.
Definitely not as loud as the K&N, you'll hear it more once you tune it.
I get paid tomorrow and plan on ordering the tune and the stuff for a DIY catback. After that will be lowering springs. :icon_razz:
Later in the month I will be ordering the downpipes. I am going to go with stainless works non-catted. I know ppe is a supporter but I am on a limited budget and saving a few hundred dollars is a big deal.
I am debating if I want to even mess with a meth kit. I had one on my Grand National and loved it, however I do not want it to mess with my warranty.
Anyways just figured I'd give you fellers and update.
for the catback I am doing:
-magnaflow xpipe
-dynomax mufflers
-custom 2.5" piping
I will also be deleting the 3rd cat/resonator
I am debating if I want to just do the exhaust myself or take it somewhere. I have built a handful of exhausts on my cars in the past, but I just want to make sure it looks as nice as possible.
Unleashed tune via SCT x4 ordered.
I'm looking forward to reporting back with butt dyno numbers.
The anticipation builds! I forsee some perma-grin in your future.
Wish they could fax/EMail the tuner too!!!
Haha I know I'm gonna be happy. The bad thing is with guys like most of us, speed/hp/mods are all relevant.
I'll be happy with the added performance of the tune for awhile. But then one day I'll get on it and it won't seem quite so fast so the process repeats.
However this is my daily driver so I can't go too crazy.
I think I'm just going to do the basic bolt ons like most of us do. 400whp is good for a dd.
