Title: New Membert SHO_SPOT
Post by: sho_spot on June 18, 2014, 08:43:58 PM
Hi All,

I am new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself.  My name is Dave S and I am out of the Midwest here in St. Louis, MO where we get crazy weather swings (100 plus summers and cold winters 10 and below).  I picked up this 12' Ford Taurus SHO because I am a young guy 25 years old in traveling engineering sales (automation/manufacturing quality control equipment)  and have trouble committing to luxury without performance.  Speaking of performance when I am not tinkering with my SHO I tinker often with my 06' Pontiac GTO.  I have tracked this car a few times.  I am basically an avid DIY and find forums like these EXTREMELY beneficial.

So far I have added the Airaid intake, and installed custom sound system. (see thread).

Honestly I do not know how much more I will mod this car....but I always say that then end up modding. ha

So far one thread and received great help/feedback.

Thanks for reading!

Welcome!   I bought a 2006 BOM A4 GTO off the show room floor back in 2006.   Drove it for 33K miles and had a blast with it! Still sometimes with I still had her!  Best with a tune and exhaust on street tires was a 13.04 at 109 with a losusy 2.0 60' in Phoenix.

I do like my SHO more though.   The SHO will beat a tuned LS2 goat with a tune + 3bar, and down pipes.   No traction issues in the street or wheel hop is a big bonus!   I do miss those seats!

Welcome to the community, officially!  If you are into hot rodding your SHO, or figuring out various electromechanical puzzles, this is a great place to be :)  Post up some pics please!

Welcome!

:WELCOME:
Enjoy the forum... From an old fart who loves the SHO too!

Search for Airaid or CAI.... An eye opener!

Welcome! Loved those Holden cars. Too bad ford didn't do the same and bring the blue oval Aussies over here. I'd probably own a falcon xr6t instead of the SHO :)
