Title: Moonroof moulding
Post by: ZSHO on May 17, 2014, 07:31:48 AM
The other day, gave her a good washing, bought a painters ladder that folds so I can reach the top of the car, noticed the moulding that goes around the sunroof was higher on one side than the other,i know from past experience with my other car that water can potentially get inside, anyother members checked their moulding.

Just checked mine, its definitely higher on the back side of the moon roof than the front. No leaks here. Its been like that as long as I can remember

I believe mind is the same as well. Keep in mind the seal you see around the perimeter of the sun roof isn't exactly water tight, there are drainage channels under the sun roof and these are how water stays out of the car. The seal around roof is merely there for wind noise. The drainage system under the roof is what keeps you dry.
