Weather permitting I am going to the test-and-tune today the 25th at US131. Did 13.15 last Sat. and see if I can best that. I have been the only SHO anytime I go there.
I need to make it down there.
I wouldn't mind making a couple passes to see what the kind of numbers I can run.
Friday May 2nd and/or the 9th I will try out the new v8 update to my LMS tune. May rain anytime in this state so that will be the deciding factor for me.
Yeah, the 2nd looks like a pretty good chance it will be wet. The 9th would be cool. Then we could bring the time slips to the Gilmore Meet Up and brag. lol
What's it run down there? $$
I've been to track days, but actually never ran my own car. Lol
Anything I need to prep before showing up?
Good questions. I have never ran at a drag strip so I would need to know what to bring.
Need to wear pants and closed toe shoes. Helmet I think if you have one. Tire pressure gauge. Cooler with ice and few bottles of water
13.99 or better requires a full face helmet.
It is highly probable you will exceed that.
Good luck!
$25.00 for car and driver for all the runs you can get in. US131 does have a rule stating no coolers allowed. As previously stated helmet will be needed for any of your eco-boosters.
I have a question for those of you who have some track experience. How much cool down do these turbo cars need? I ran 13.07 and then 13.28 in my only back to back runs. Does it make that much difference even at 55 degree?
I ran 13.08 and 13.12 with 1/2 hr. between. then 1 1/2 hour later ran 13.07. then 13.28. Was there something I did or does 1 run heat soak the car that much??

Sounds like a plan to me. Don`t brag too much though, there will be some really fast equipment there. I do think low 13`s and mid to high 12`s are pretty good for 4500 lbs + cars.
Do not run your air con. They don't like seeing and liquids drop from cars. If they see water dripping from your car they get upset. Also running the air con will slow you down
I am considering another trip to US131 this Friday for the T-T. Looks to be a very pleasant evening coming up. Anyone else?
I may consider it. I need to get a helmet before I can go though. What time do you head over there?

Gates open at 5pm. I usually leave the house about 5 and arrive about 5:30. I usually park on the track side and am quite visible. You could use my helmet although many people don`t like to do that. Means we couldn`t run together is all. $25.00 at the gate.
Looks like I should be able to make it tonight. I will try to be there around 5:30 as well.
Lookin` forward to it!
