Title: Battlefield Airbrush
Post by: geswek on March 30, 2014, 01:47:47 PM
I finished the build of my rig and decided that I wanted something airbrushed to the side as a reference to my extensive time fighting the war in Iraq with the United States Army. The local airbrush artist took a design I found on Deviant Art and brought it to reality. I am utterly amazed at how well it came out. This guy is fairly popular in the PA area for doing some wicked hockey masks. He was very interested in this as it was something different, plus he had a love for the Battlefield game series on the XBOX. I of course had to endure 20 questions about what war was like, being soldier, etc. It wasn't so bad given the passion he put into this.

Those of you are wondering; this rig is beyond crazy -- just one of my other hobbies that drains my wallet.

Have to forgive me, I did in fact screw up the focusing ring on my lens I dropped. I need to purchase a new one. These photo's are not "that great."

Just FYI; he put so much detail in this -- on the mountain line there are troops and vehicles staged.

Indeed; very impressed with how it came out.

I was going to print the design on vinyl and wrap the panels; however decided I wanted to go airbrush route instead.

Looks like a futuristic version of the Borg Cube from Star Trek fame.....

Resistance is futile.

LMAO; not exactly the first thought that popped in my head.

However, just for perspective; the cube is 18 inches all around.

It takes up a large foot print on my desk.

Very nice customization touch, especially since it speaks to you.
