Title: What should I be data-logging?
Post by: Tyrann0saurusRX on March 28, 2014, 05:34:50 PM
Sorry if this is an obvious question, but I'm new at this. I have a custom tune loaded. I have downloaded livelink. I have figured out how to connect, load a configuration file, and begin logging. Now what? What should I be doing while the computer is logging? Should I just drive normally? Individual gear pulls? 0-60? 0-100? All of the above?

If your using Livelink I have a config file with 35 parameters (PIDS) being logged.  I can email this to you.  PM me your email.  Who is your tuner?

It is best to start with 0-60/70 mph to make sure everything is legit.  FYI

Torrie at Unleashed is my tuner, but I was bothering him a bunch yesterday during the install so I thought I would ask here first in case it was an easy answer.

I am not using live link but have he same question. I use iPad and elm 327 scanner. My tune is LMS stage 4+ 91 octane

And again, do you log normal driving? 0-60? 30-70?

Normal driving no.  Wot 0-60 or 0-70 or so is enough to determine safety of the tune.  Once thats determined you can do a third and fourth gear pull.  50-90 or so wot.

That being said, are there specific points I need to log?
