Title: Clunk sound under heavier braking or slow turning.
Post by: thatsmrgimp2u on March 08, 2014, 11:08:31 AM
I'm thinking it might be a sway bar bushing or endlink, but I'm not 100 percent sure. Has anyone experiences this and gotten the issue resolved?

I've had a bad lower ball joint create similar symptoms...

Check your sway bar end links. You can get OEM for around $20-30 on eBay.

Just ordered some Moog front links. Will update if that resolves the issue.

My front end clunking was caused by failed outer tie rod links. Although, it happened more when I went over bumps.

had to have the endlinks replaced on the Explorer.  Lots of clunking.  Thought it was more severe than just sway bar end links, but that was it.
