So working at a motorcycle shop got me looking at a little item that managed to knock 35lbs off the front left of the engine compartment! (http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/01/15/ve6u2eja.jpg)

Just gotta work on making it neater! Seems to work great! Bit of a pain with all the stuff connected to the positive side..

Interesting.. Looks like the AlienMotion I have in my KTM625 SMC. Am I correct in that they don't like to play when the temps are low?
Cool idea! Keep us updated on your experience with performance and longevity.
This might allow space for a sealed insulated CAI filterbox to avoid heat saturation and get cooler intake air.
Great weight loss idea! I hope it does well all year (in the cold).
I had a Ballistic brand 16 cell in my 2006 Saturn Ion Redline for over a year. It started the car in -30 C .. mind you a tad slower.. So these AntiGravity batteries seem to be waaaaay better built. was -10 C this morning outside and fired with zero lag!

it could for sure. I just need to figure how to tuck in in the back left corner of the battery tray.. The stupid positive wire has so much stuff attached to it it does not move at all!
ahh I should mention the one I put in my SHO is the 24 cell small case.. 720 CCA
Very nice! How much did it set you back $-wise?

Better than $2,000!
HAHA ya I have seen the full size ones worth 2-4g.. thought about it for my diesel.. but over 4grand in batteries to save 120lbs prolly not worth it on that rig!
I just started drinking water, and walking for 1 hour every morning, and ive shaved off 60lbs so far, and it was free. LOL

LOL I've been walking daily too! Limit to 2000 calories a day. Probably knock a tenth or two off my time by Spring!
HAHA.. if i lost that I'd be dead!
I started around 375lbs, im down to about 315, my goal right now is to get under 275 by my Bday, which is May 27th.
That's alotta lbs!! Good work Kolk1 !!!

I was actually just thinking about this last night. I've been looking at fabricating my own intake and after looking at it I was wondering if I could install a red top at a different angle or even in the trunk to allow much more room for the intake.

Yes, I know it's not what the op was about specifically but its about the huge stock battery and getting rid of it, same idea I was having, and another benefit was that a bigger intake system will fit

Optima Red Top battery :D

Optima Red Top battery :D
I've considered the Optima battery, but you can get a solid performing battery for a lot less money. I was going to get an Optima for my F-150, but Sam's Club offered (sorry, can't remember the brand, but it was a brand that I trusted) for $63.00 vs $179.00 for the Optima, and if I remember correctly the battery I ended up getting had like 950CCA and 48 month warranty....
I work at Costco and occasionally we get red tops in for $119. That or if you look long enough you can find one on Amazon for around $100. Agreed $179 is a little too much

I did the same . It was hard to pass up that discount.
Just chiming in on the battery project... Its still going strong and even started the car at -25c after sitting 2 days at the airport.. that would be its limit for sure!!
Lightweight, but a heavyweight contender ... Hope the prices come down soon!
the price on them has gone up.. for some stupid reason.. should of came down.
