Title: contacted another company about intakes
Post by: panther427 on December 12, 2013, 02:44:25 PM
I filled out a form and will be calling a company called cold air inductions about makin intakes for the cars. They make the best overall intake designs I have seen. And they are priced fairly.

Yea I wish companies like S&B and Vararam would do something but they never will...
That said, I'm really pleased with my Typhoon.

I called them to late today ill have to try again tomorrow. They are a fairly new company. Like past 5 years or so.  When I had my grand prix GXP they where the favorite intake. I feel they look great and would look great underhood of an ecoboost powered vehicle.

You can contact them and its a simple form on there website to request them make an intake for you vehicle. Back when I had my GXP they only had intakes W-bodys, the new Camaros, and the 300/Magnum/Charger triplets. So they have expanded there production so far...

What I would really like is there style of filter box with the piping of the henny style intake tubes.

So if you like the look of there product fill out there simple form for request to make an intake for you car.. It asks for name, email, number and Make and MY of your car/truck/SUV.

I really hope they don't use a metal pipe.

My metal piped Typhoon saw IAT's in the high 130's and when it got that hot it NEVER recovered.

I've thought about slapping it back on to see how it performs in the cold temps.

The stock piece may not be pretty but it performs very well.

They claim to ceramic coat there piping and put thermal insulation around there inside of the box to reject heat.
