Title: Center gauges
Post by: FracaSHO on September 11, 2013, 04:06:54 PM
Got my center gauge pod today.  I want some opinions and insight on which gauges to put in it.  I know I want Ford Racing Autometer gauges, I might consider something else depending on price, looks, etc. Boost gauge obviously. What should the other 2 be?

with twin turbos, I'm learning myself.

I'd generally say wideband gauge, boost, oil pressure

Oil Temperature, Water Temp., if you look at Auto Meter's site, it might help you decide what you want.  Just be forewarned, Auto Meter are great gauges, but you pay for what you get, so they are not inexpensive.

Wondering can you run the auto meter and what these Gage's look like? I am looking to have boost, oil psi, and transmission temp. The transmission gage I am working on since evo gage not available. But here is goor alternative.

Also, anyone know mechanic or so in L.A. Area who would do install without taking my first born?

Of course you can run any gauge 2 1/16, Autometer.com they hundreds of different gauges. I personally use the Autometer Ford racing series gauges and I believe they have a trans temp gauge as well in this series as another member of the forum has trans temp gauge.
As prosport gauges I believe there is few guys here as well that do you use, I used them early on when developing my pod. But of a different series. But a as to trans temp in the EVO series you could use the oil temp gauge.

I would want a gauge stack as I would like to know boost, both egt, engine oil temp, trans temp, ptu temp, and wideband

I like the three gauge set up better.  Is it me or does this two gauge set up look taller?

Everything dimensionally the same, I think its the angle the photo was taken. I prefer 3 gauges as well, but he only wanted 2, I just put it out there so people can see different options.

I think the gauges appear larger... at least look so...?optical illusion? I do agree with your numbers, my choice would be 3 gauges.. center or A-pillar mounted, but each to his own
