Title: 2010 SHO transmission into 2015 SHO
Post by: Mo7ammed on February 20, 2019, 10:41:12 AM
Hi,

My transmission is long gone, I found a used 2010 trans and planning to install it in my 2015 non PP SHO, not sure if the 2010 is PP or not.

Is it going to work?

I think it shouldnt be an issue, but the Trans fluid Spec is different! I'm sure others will chime in shortly. Z

I would expect it to work because people are installing gen 5 engines with their gen 4 transmissions when the engines in their gen 4's go belly up.  Have not heard any complaints about shift quality afterwards, but I am sure resetting the transmission adaptives (not a KAM reset) would not hurt.  P/Ns from Ford may have changed over time tho.

2010 transmission worked, still the TC didn't fit, 4 bolts for 2010-2012 SHO trans, and 2013 using 3 bolts TC.
they installed N/A taurus 2013+ TC, as per the mechanic it's the same as my 2015 SHO
