Title: GH IC & SS ported intake manifold?
Post by: 4sfed on February 25, 2019, 10:19:13 AM
SO!  Obviously plannign the GH intercooler, however I'm also playing with the idea of having super six port my intake manifold as well.

Does anyone have any thoughts or opinions on the ported intake for our car?  Also any thoughts on the tune?  Would this require further tuning than the IC alone?  ...I imagine it would.

Thanks in advance.

The super six porting of intake manifolds on the naturually aspirated 3.5 makes a difference from all reports, but it is not going to be night and day.  I expect the same for the ecoboost 3.5.

Definitely worth tuning for, if the difference creates peaks and valleys in the rev band that were not there before.  Just like downpipes can be run without tuning for them, but then you are not getting full benefit.

Excellent point.  Thanks!

I was looking into porting the intake manifold but it doesn't look very restrictive.
A port match to the heads and a little clean up is the way I went.
