I can't say anything on your, but most of the interior temp sensors I've seen on various cars contain a micro fan that pulls air. possibly just worn out or dust filled.
Edit - should have watched your whole video.  That looks just like the part on the Flex, Ford probably uses the same one on several vehicles.

Yea mine does have a fan . I figured i just get another no big deal
