Very nice. A million years ago I had a brand new '92 5.0, we thought they were quick. If you'd have told me a 4 door Taurus would be running a 13.4 with a 6 banger back then, I'd have asked you if you were high.

Great run!  :thumb:  What was the DA! . Z

Z Im not sure I did not check the weather. New England Dragway is basically at sea level being 121ft normally. It was very cool roughly 55 out last Friday and no humidity. If I had to guess Id say no more then 200-300 feet above sea level. Ive been drag racing there for 30 years since I was 8 in Jr dragsters. The worst air that place gets is maybe 800-1,000 above.

Let me know hit me with a PM. I don't live to far from there and my buddy is always up for filming and looking at cars with his son.

Thanks my buddy filmed for me. He also has a SHO but never runs it. I have Continental extreme contact dws 06 265/35/20's at all 4 corners. Tires are nothing short of awesome

Great times for sure.

How are you launching the car?  I hope to take my stock Ecoboost MKS to the track before tuning it.  This is my first AWD car.  Do you build boost against the foot brake?  Do you launch at a certain RPM?

Thanks.

This is my first AWD car that I've brought to a track. Mt first run I left at roughly 1200-1300rpm and ran a 13.60 with a 2.047 60'. The next 3 runs I left off the converter. So in other words I staged the car held the brake and was able to floor it while the brake held. I never actually looked at the tach but I'd guess roughly 2100-2200rpm. I was able to get a best 60' of 2.001 on my 13.48 run.

I also rolled the car over the scales at the track 4455lbs with me in it. What a flipping tank lol.

Interesting.  I'd of thought that would send boost trough the roof, but with drive by wire, I'm sure the ECM keeps it in check.  Good to know.  Thanks!!

Im guessing you are right. I mean they don't pull much boost stock at all. I saw a high of 11.8psi on my runs. Mostly the boost would stay between 10-11psi throughout the run.

Yeah I had a MGB with a 5.0 in it, 2400# and was a rocket.  Ran 13.8@102 as it's best.
The 2.4 60' though were not helping, no way to get enough tire under the tail to make it hook...

Intersting, that is a short tire.  What made you decide to go with that size, it is not one I have heard mentioned before as one to run on a SHO.
Stock is 245/45-20 (28.7"diamater) your tires are 1.4" smaller in diameter.

I bought the car CPO roughly a month ago and it had these tires on it and they were brand new. I didn't have the heart to take $1200 in tires off the car. Personally I would not have gone to a 35 series tire. Especially with New England roads and pot holes and having the PP with no spare. My speedo is off roughly 5mph at 80 but I can deal with it. Im currently trying to figure out how to change it on my SCT BDX and cant figure it out.

The good news though is that your speedo reads fast.  That will help keep you out of trouble with the local Constable.

That is a great tire for sure, I would wear them out too before replacing!

The bad news is that it means you put 5 more miles on the odometer every 80 miles, so in 1000 miles you put 62.5 miles extra on the car. 10k miles you put 625 extra, etc. etc. I would get it fixed ASAP

Once I figure it out on my SCT I will change it. I have some work to do this weekend on the car. Plugs, tstat, 3 bar map and load my tunes from torrie. Once I get into that I'll try to figure out how to change tire diameter.

It may be something Torrie can do easily for you on your next revision when you send him in your 1st datalog.  I have not looked into doing it via the handheld.

My dad said its was very simple on his SCT X4. Like I said ive only datalogged 2 runs for Torrie and that was it with the REV-X. And as that is I cant even figure out how to get those out of it lol. Can you tell this is my first use of an SCT.
