So how many of you have tried out the newly released Gearhead Intercooler? We at Ortiz Performance got our hands on one of the first launched items and got it installed in about 3 hours. The install video provided made it a breeze for any DIYer, and then we got to work on tuning.

Things have been busy lately, so we haven't gotten to spend as much time as we'd like on it, but our base file saw a 1.5 psi bump to 16 psi (up from 14.5) and with nothing other than waste gate changes the car saw a bump from 16 to 17.5 degrees of timing on 91 octane. We added a splash of E85 (2 gallons to a full tank of 91) and the car is sustaining 23 degrees of timing without issue.

We added downpipes at the same time, and the combined gains are awesome. fuel pressure is starting to suffer with the E blend so we are going to hold off on adding more power until it starts to warm up, but I can't wait to see what more we can get. We're working to become dealers for XDI and then we can get our hands on their HPFP and put it to work.

Has anyone gotten dyno numbers outside of Matt's testing? What about track comparisons? We'd love to see them!
